For us, the holidays are about spending time with our families and cherishing our memories and traditions. From watching our favorite movies to all-day cookie-baking marathons, here are some of our team’s favorite holiday traditions — the events and experiences that bring us the greatest happiness every year.
Jack, Engineering & QA Manager
“Every Christmas or Thanksgiving, our family eats dinner together and takes pictures, so we can see how we’ve grown from year to year, with kids and grandkids.”
Shay, Office Manager
“I love baking Christmas cookies and putting up the tree. I’m obsessed with Christmas ornaments, so I love hanging them up each year.”
Kim, Senior Account Specialist – Midwest
“Every Christmas Eve, we go to Candlelight Service, and when we come home, we open presents and drink champagne. We also have a charcuterie board with lots of yummy stuff!”
Kylie, Lab Assistant (QA & Engineering)
“When I was a kid, my brother and I would stay up as late as we possibly could every Christmas Eve to see how many times we could watch A Christmas Story from start to finish.
Today, my husband and I watch Die Hard every Christmas Eve. Movies have always been a part of my traditions.”
Nicole, Account Specialist – West
“We have a couple of holiday traditions!
Every year, my mom, my sister-in-law and I get together and spend an entire day baking cookies for all our family, friends and coworkers. We generally end up with 800 to 900 cookies! Our husbands and the kiddos get to be the taste-testers.
Also, on Christmas morning, my husband and I, along with my brother and his family, go to my parents’ house for a big home-cooked breakfast and gift-opening around the Christmas tree. This tradition has carried on for years — and now I have two nephews and a niece who get to enjoy the Christmas magic, too!”
Karen, Office Coordinator
“The family gets together on Christmas Eve for a big meal, to play games and to open presents. There are between 30 and 35 of us. It is a wonderful time!”
Catie, Account Specialist – East
“The entire family gets together for dinner on Christmas Eve.”
Noah, Solutions Specialist
“I love spending time with family to celebrate Hanukkah together, sharing what we’re grateful for and celebrating New Year’s Eve as a family over a fondue meal.”
Steve, Sales Director
“The family always gets a live Christmas tree. When the kids were young, we would pick out a tree and cut it down. More recently, we visited a Christmas tree lot and picked one out together. It’s a great time for the family to slow down during a hectic holiday season. Oftentimes, we stop for dinner on our way home from the tree lot/farm.”
Whatever your holiday traditions are, we hope they shine bright and fill you with lasting, wonderful memories this year. All of us at Carow wish you a joyous, healthy and magical holiday season!
